Job Responsibilities

Our Adult Day Health Center located in Mansfield Norwood and Taunton are seeking part-time and per diem drivers to transport up to 12 people in our vans to and from the center daily. Monday-Friday approximately 6:00-9:00am and 3:00-6:00pm no weekends. Compensation includes a split shift premium and for part time positions holiday pay and Sign on Bonus.

Job Requirements

Candidates must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a safe driving record and the ability to pass drug and alcohol testing, ability to assist consumers to and from the van and to be CPR and First Aid certified.

• Provide a safe and time-efficient route for assigned participants to and from their homes or on special trips as directed by supervisor
• Use acceptable transfer techniques in assisting program participants
• Observe and communicate information regarding client health, behavior and home situation to supervisor or appropriate professional staff
• Ensure the safety and well being of all clients
• Maintaining confidentiality as in conformity with company policy
• Cleanliness, maintenance of assigned vehicle to insure conformity with safety standards
• Conducts interior van inspections after each run, follows appropriate action; if applicable
• Purchasing gas, oil, and obtaining annual inspection stickers
• Tracking routine maintenance and identifying to supervisor or designee, vehicle problems which need to be addressed
• Safe handling of company equipment which include company vehicles, cellular phones or other equipment
• Demonstrates a desire to set and meet objectives and to find increasingly efficient ways to perform tasks
• Completes work, client care and documentation with accuracy and within Company time frames
• Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed
• Maintains professionalism throughout all aspects of the job

Job Qualifications

• Must possess a current Massachusetts Driver’s License
• Must be able to demonstrate a safe driving record either with documentation from the Registry of Motor Vehicles or through self-auto insurance documentation
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely operate a multi-passenger vehicle
• Must be sensitive to frail elders and disable adults and able to safely provide physical assistance to disabled persons as needed
