Job Responsibilities

Performs secretarial duties for the department manager and, as needed for department visiting staff. Maintains schedules of visiting staff, cross trains into the nurse scheduler role and provides support to the nursing department as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Answers telephones, refers calls to appropriate people, takes and relays accurate messages
  • Reviews daily activity reports, narratives, and other relevant documentation from department visiting staff and processes all appropriately and within an accepted time frame
  • Tracks, time sensitive paperwork: HHABN’s & Notice of Medicare Provider non-coverage forms
  • Submits Agency admission documents to the QIE department for review in a timely manner
  • Keeps department manager aware of any potential deviations from accepted time frames regarding documentation by monitoring Office Wyse lists as directed
  • Submits copies of MSP forms to manager for review
  • Positively contributes to all phases of the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement
    (QAPI) program. Contributions may include; identification of problem areas;
    recommendations to address problem areas; data collection; attendance at periodic QAPI
    meetings or participation in performance improvement projects
  • Demonstrates a desire to set and meet objectives and to find increasingly efficient ways to
    perform tasks.
  • Completes work, care and documentation with accuracy and within Agency time frames
    Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed

Job Qualifications

• High School graduate with general business office experience or equivalent
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word required
• Detail oriented
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Medical background preferred
• Ability to work without supervision, and in a team environment
