Job Responsibilities

Performs all necessary duties relative to the scheduling of Nurses. Utilizes good organizational skills. Demonstrates the ability to work in harmony with all staff, clients/families and department managers.

Job Requirements

  • Projects daily staffing needs
  • Assures scheduling done on a timely basis for daytime, evening and weekends
  • Assures productivity met by staff
  • Communicates with per diem staff as needed
  • Coordinates staff’s daily work load – assuring continuity of care
  • Ensures appropriate assignment of referrals in consultation with nurse manager
  • Serves as a resource to team members, referral sources, and clients
  • Responsible for updating client information as related to Kardex system
  • Provides manager with weekly visit statistics
  • Assures service satisfaction through appropriate communication with staff, clients and
    referral sources
  • Shares information with appropriate staff to effect continuity of care
  • Positively contributes to all phases of the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement
    (QAPI) program. Contributions may include; identification of problem areas;
    recommendations to address problem areas; data collection; attendance at periodic QAPI
    meetings or participation in performance improvement projects.
  • Demonstrates a desire to set and meet objectives and to find increasingly efficient ways to
    perform tasks
  • Completes work, care and documentation with accuracy and within Agency time frames
  • Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed

Job Qualifications

• Home Care experience/medical terminology preferred
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Pleasant/courteous telephone manner (customer service skills)
• Ability to work effectively as a team member
