Breaking News – HomeCare Elite Awards top place to Community VNA
Community VNA has been ranked in the top 5% of home care agencies in the nation, earning it a place on the HomeCare Elite list for 2012, according to the National Research Corporation which conducts the annual nationwide review.
Board President Paul P. Danesi, Jr. (left) congratulates Community VNA Executive Director & CEO Kathy Trier (right) and the entire staff on receiving outstanding recognition by HomeCare Elite for ranking in the top 500 agencies in the nation.
Kathleen M. Trier, Community VNA’s Executive Director and CEO noted that the top home care agencies are identified based on standardized performance measures. These include quality of care, quality improvement, patient satisfaction feedback and the agency’s financial management. The measures are combined into one overall score that gives the greatest importance to quality of care, Trier explained. There are currently 10,184 home health agencies across the USA, she said, with Community VNA ranking within the top 500.
“We conduct ongoing internal reviews, so we have always tracked the quality of our patient care.” Trier said, “And our patients constantly tell us that they love us.” she added. “However, to have these achievements recognized by an external, nationwide measuring process is especially gratifying and we are extremely proud to receive the 2012 HomeCare Elite Top 500 Award”, Trier said.
