Elder Dental Services
The Elder Dental Program has a number of dentists and specialists who volunteer to participate in the program and are able to offer a wide range of services including diagnosis, cleanings, fillings, root canals and extractions. Participating dentists treat patients in their own dental offices during regular office hours.
Currently, we are not able to provide services that involve dental lab work such as new dentures, partials and crowns. Patients needing these services will be referred to dental schools for dentures and similar restorative work.
How the program works
In order to participate in the Elder Dental Program, participants must complete an application. Once eligibility is determined, the program manager will match the patient with a local dentist and schedule the patient’s first appointment.
Patients pay the dentist at the time of the visit. Fees are based on a pre-agreed upon discount rate. Patients are told ahead of time how much their next appointment with the dentist will cost so that there are no surprises.
