Other Services
Along with our individualized client services, we also offer a wide range of social activities, such as special interest groups, daily exercise and movement programs, individual interest activities (such as painting or gardening) as well as entertainment and live performances.
In addition, many of the support services we offer are designed for the convenience and support of the family caregivers as well as the caregivers. This includes laboratory services, personal care, caregiver support groups, on-site necessities gift shop, prescription delivery and a unisex hair salon.

Individual Activities
The Activities Staff organizes chess, checkers and other one-on-one games for those so interested. They also devise specific activities for those with memory loss problems who need the comfort of familiar repetitive actions to lower fear or frustration levels, which enhances their safety and builds self esteem.
Entertainment and Performances
Weekly guest performers and demonstrations by experts from the community provide entertainment as well as added exposure to a mixture of local cultural activities and the arts.
Support Services
Door to Door Transportation
We can assist you by arranging safe, reliable door-to-door, handicapped accessible transportation for those clients living in the communities of Canton, Dedham, Foxboro, Franklin, Medfield, Millis, Needham, Norfolk, Norwood, Plainville, Sharon, Walpole, Wrentham, and Westwood. Caregivers who wish to make their own transportation arrangements or drop off and pick up their loved ones themselves are free to do so and would not be restricted to just these communities.
Laboratory services
Our nursing staff arranges for on-site blood drawing whenever requested by the client's physician.
Personal Care and Hygiene
Our nursing staff provides toileting assistance, help with dressing and undressing, grooming, shaving, ambulation, eating and drinking, as needed.
Caregiver Support Groups
Norfolk Adult Day Health Center hosts a monthly community caregiver support group the last Tuesday of each month, at 10:00AM, in the Center’s community room at 595 Pleasant Street in Norwood, MA; Facilitated by our Social Worker, the group is open at no charge to the community at large, as well as to the caregivers of clients at the Center.
On-site Necessities Gift Shop
A small, on-site gift shop called the Old Country Store carries necessities, small gifts and cards. It is open daily and run by the Center's clients.
Prescriptions Delivery
Our nursing staff can arrange to have new or renewal prescriptions filled through a local pharmacy and delivered to the Center for each client.
Unisex Hair Salon Services
Each month, a professional hairdresser provides on-site hair cuts, shampoos and styling for both men and women.
